Music Director

The leader of the musical/instrumental aspects of the show, specifically pertaining to the orchestra. This position requires excellent music interpretation skills. Previous conducting experience is an asset.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
● Interpreting the score to fit the needs of the production in collaboration with the vocal needs (ie. adjusting vocal harmonies to fit the actors’ ranges).
● Finding musicians to participate in the pit orchestra and leading them from independent rehearsals to sitzprobe and full company runs.
● Providing rehearsal notes from every rehearsal to all relevant parties
● Audition, rehearse, and conduct the orchestra for the shows
